A Weekend in Brisbane

New to Brisbane or are you just looking for something different to do?

We have some suggestions for the perfect weekend in Brisbane and how to make the most of your time.

After a buffet breakfast at the hotel enjoy the outdoors and take a walk or cycle through the Brisbane Botanical Gardens, Eagle Street Pier or over to Southbank Parklands. Bikes are available for hire at the main entrance to the gardens (26 Alice Street) from $15 per hour.

Enjoy the restaurants along Brisbane's iconic Eagle Street Pier for lunch with a fantastic view of the river, or take a ride on a Brisbane City Cat Ferry. With convenient locations along the north and south of the river. Stop off at New farm and enjoy the park and surrounding cafes. Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm host Jan Power's Farmers Markets from 6am-midday with market stalls including farm-fresh food and produce such as homemade cheeses, vegetables, pizzas, pasties, ginger beer and freshly baked breads.

Enjoy an afternoon along the river or catch the City Cat back to Southbank and explore the free exhibitions at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA).

Spend the night indulging in Southbank's array of culturally diverse restaurants and bars.

Visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary from $22. Fill up the day with plenty of dining options including BBQ and picnic facilities and wild encounters with Koalas, birds, dingos and reptiles. Plenty of fun for every age group.

Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas 'Sundae Sessions', starting October 4th - November 12th are the perfect way to wind down after an eventful weekend. With live music and FREE Ben and Jerry's ice cream and a movie screening under the stars, what's not to love? Purchase your ticket online here and receive a discounted price.
